This is an old revision of the document!

There were a lot of balance issues in the original design so here is an attempt at rescaling the balance to try and make it work better. Testing pending, hopefully I got it right this time.

Ax8 = [[A]+[A]]

Bx8 = [B+C+D]

Cx7 = [[C]+D]

Dx7 = [D]+[A+B]

Ex6 = [[E+E]+C]

Fx6 = [[B+C]+[F]]

Gx5 = [[G]+D+E]

Hx5 = [B+H]+[E+F]

Ix4 = [[C+F]+[I]+G]

Jx4 = [[D]+[F]+H+J]

Kx3 = [[A+A]+[E]+I+K]

Lx3 = [[L][B+C]+[H+J]+L]

After running 3000 games at all player counts with monte carlo, the average score was around 29 on all player counts, and ties were consistently below 27% in all player counts, lower rate of ties the less players present.

– update –

solo rules. in a solo game, you may optionally draw cards from a simulated player pile on the table of 7 additional face up cards. you may, instead of the draw pile, thus at any time take one card from this face-up row of cards and replace it in your hand with another card that you place down into the discard area. at the end of the game, the number of remaining cards grant you +2 points per card. so 7 cards remaining is equal to a bonus of 14 points. in general, solo is all about beating your score. with a score counter of 9-16, 17-19, etc.
