This is the shell game but we're changing it to graphically look more in line with an arthurian styled card game (but visual spectacle none the less) of flowers. in particular, flowers of the united kingdom.
In this game, you collect flowers, and each flower has a 3-way combo. Most often, you will focus on either 3 small combos or 2 bigger combos or 1 large combo.
This is done by each card offering a 3 pairing solution, e.g. you have a thistle card, you can either have 2 thistles, or one thistle and one rose, or one thistle, one rose and one ivy. or perhaps it is 2 thistles base combo and extends the base combo to 2 thistles + 1 ivy, and extend it to 2 thistles + 1 ivy + 1 rose. for maximum effect.
you have a total of 7 cards in hand.
first player draws a card from the draw pile and swaps it with one of the cards on hand or discards the card they drew, placing it face up on the table.
from there on, the players can either draw from the discard or from the draw pile, swapping cards on their hand.
the game ends once there are 10 cards on the table.
the players then tally any combo they have on hand, with 1 point per card of the combos on hand. e.g. if there is a combo with 3 cards each having a combo with one another, this would be worth 9 points.
— update —
The idea here is that there are a total of 66 cards in the deck, and it supports 1 to 8 players. With all 8 players, the draw deck only contains 10 cards, of which all will go into the discard area to end the game.
On average, players should have pretty equal scoring between 14 to 18 points.
point distribution is based on the number of combos and unique flowers. so say you have:
1 poppy = 1 point (unique flower) poppy also has the combo requirement of: 2 poppy = 2 points 2 poppy = 2 points 4 poppy = 4 points this fulfills.
